ABOUT YOUR CAPTAIN

Captain Robbie Goodwin

LOCAL KNOWLEDGE. REAL EXPERIENCE. GENUINE PASSION.

Hi, I'm Captain Robbie Goodwin.

I've spent countless hours fishing the waters from Cape Canaveral to St. Augustine, learning the tides, bait movements, and seasonal migrations that make Northeast Florida one of the best places to fish.

Over the years, I've gained extensive experience targeting migratory pelagic species like cobia, king mackerel, tarpon, jack crevalle, bonita, and tripletail, along with countless hours sportfishing both the nearshore and inshore waters of our coast.

Whether you're chasing a bucket-list fish or introducing your family to fishing for the first time, my goal is simple: provide a safe, enjoyable experience and put you in the best position to catch fish and create lasting memories.

I look forward to fishing with you.

WHAT WE FISH

SPECIES & SEASONAL PATTERNS

Our waters are diverse and always changing. From inshore backwaters to the nearshore beach, we target a variety of species throughout the year.

Common Species

Cobia

ChatGPT Image Jul 17, 2026, 08_38_47 AM_

Cobia are famous for cruising alongside manta rays, sharks and sea turtles making them one of the most exciting sight-fishing targets in Florida. We quietly scan the surface for these traveling fish before making a precise cast to a cobia you can often watch eat the lure/bait.

Snook

ChatGPT Image Jul 17, 2026, 09_22_28 AM_

Snook are a premier inshore gamefish we target year-round, with exciting nighttime trips around docks, bridges, and lighted structure where they ambush bait. During the winter months, we also find them stacked in protected canals and creeks, offering excellent opportunities even on cooler days.

Tarpon

ChatGPT Image Jul 17, 2026, 08_58_24 AM_

Each summer, giant tarpon migrate along the beaches, often exploding through schools of bait in spectacular surface-feeding frenzies. Sight-fishing these acrobatic giants is one of Florida's most thrilling angling experiences, with unforgettable jumps and powerful runs.

Redfish

ChatGPT Image Jul 17, 2026, 09_23_21 AM_

Redfish are a year-round favorite in Northeast Florida, providing consistent action in every season. Winter is especially exciting as large schools gather in crystal-clear shallow water, creating incredible sight-fishing opportunities and unforgettable visual eats.

Kingfish

ChatGPT Image Jul 17, 2026, 09_30_37 AM_

Kingfish are one of the most reliable offshore targets, consistently caught by trolling artificial lures along reefs, wrecks, and bait schools. Their blistering first run and aggressive strikes make them a favorite for anglers of all experience levels.

Jacks

ChatGPT Image Jul 17, 2026, 09_27_23 AM_

These aren't your average backyard jacks—along the beaches, we target massive migrating schools where fish over 25 pounds are common. Their explosive surface feeds, crushing strikes, and unstoppable runs make jack crevalle one of the hardest-fighting fish in our waters.

Seasonal Patterns

SPRING

MARCH – MAY

IMG_4673.jpeg

Cobia season kicks off in early spring as rays begin migrating up the coast. We'll be on the beach and nearshore structure focusing on cobia, kingfish, and other pelagics that follow the bait.

Summer

JUNE – AUGUST

Screenshot 2026-07-16 at 1.19.44 PM.png

We fish the beaches and nearshore waters all summer long. Expect tarpon, kingfish, jack crevalle, bonita, cobia, and more as the action stays strong.

Fall

SEPTEMBER – NOVEMBER

IMG_5290_edited.jpg

Bait is plentiful and the bites are on. We continue fishing the beaches and nearshore for cobia, kingfish, and fall-run species before transitioning back inshore as the water cools.

Winter

DECEMBER – FEBRUARY

Screenshot 2026-07-16 at 12.35.25 PM.png

In the winter, we generally stay inshore. Sight fishing for redfish on the flats and working the creeks and canals for wintertime snook. Slow down and enjoy some of the best fishing of the year.

From spring cobia and summer tarpon to winter redfish and snook, there's always something worth chasing along Florida's northeast coast.
